I am a big fan of storyboarding, idea mapping, free writing, sticky noting, and all things analog invention or brainstorming. Detaching from the computer may seem incongruous to creating a great slide deck, but there’s nothing like letting your imagination loose on a blank piece/pieces of paper. The folks at Ethos3 (have I already explained how much I love this firm and their approach to presentation design?) have been working on a Slideshare series on presenting, design, and all things in between. In our final class discussion of the month, several of my online students shared this fantastic example titled, Wake Up Brain.
I’ve been looking for some really excellent brainstorming exercises to go along with my anaphoric poem activity. I am particularly drawn to one and five. Time to integrate this into this month’s excellent on campus section. I have a great blend of presenters this month, and I can’t wait to see what they produce! Time to wake up our brains!
