Today is the first double (8 hours of class) of Professional Communication and Presentation’s October class. We will cover TED, “naked” delivery ala Garr Reynolds, storytelling, and presentation anxiety. In preparation for today’s talk on the subject, I’ve tweaked my already existing deck a bit. Public speaking fear or at least nervousness/anxiety is a common challenge for presenters at all levels of experience. Even if we don’t like to admit it, there is at least one communication situation that will have us running for the nearest door. I share with my class I am always nervous for a few minutes on the first day of class, and I am positively awful in interviews. What sort of communication makes you apprehensive?
Happy Wednesday!
